Eragon and Murtagh were still evenly matched, despite not being allowed to use magic or their Eldunar. He later met up with Arya, who had come in search of Eragon. Eragon then deduced that this is what the Ra'zac was trying to tell him: Galbatorix had discovered the name of the Ancient Language, which gave him complete control over magic and its users.
